A challenge coin is a small coin or medallion that symbolizes membership, belonging, and camaraderie. It can also be used to recognize achievements, dedication, or exemplary service. Challenge coins are often associated with the military, but they are also used by law enforcement, firefighters, and other organizations.
On behalf of the Bloomfield School District Police Department, I would like to congratulate and thank Mr. Max Zitterman on his selflessness and helping a fellow student out during lunch. Mr. Zitterman demonstrated "INTEGRITY" Doing the right thing, even though no one is watching; quality of being honest and having strong moral principles: moral uprightness.
Mr. Zitterman received a Bloomfield School District Police Department Challenge Coin and a certificate for a free Jr. Frosty.

Dear Families,
As we have continued to investigate the social media post and law enforcement agencies have worked together. Law enforcement have been able to verify the post originated in Vigo County where an arrest was made. Law enforcement has determined this is not a threat to Bloomfield Schools.
Dr. Scott Van Der Aa
